Mobile phone signal resident survey
Further to the meeting in the village hall on 11th December 2023, the Parish Council are working with the Digital Lead at Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council. Our aim is to prepare a business case to present to the mobile providers in relation to the mobile phone signal in the village, which seems to be adversely affecting many residents.
In order to present evidence of the situation, we are collating data that will support our business case. We are therefore asking everyone in the village if they could spare 5 minutes to complete a short survey.
Access the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6L97GFK

Soot Hill Road Closure
Due to be completed December 2023
Background
The landslip at Soot Hill took place at the end of December 2021 after a period of intense rainfall. The collapse material damaged an adjacent building and rendered the highway unsafe for use apart from pedestrians and cyclists. Remnants of the collapse were left hanging precariously above the main live electricity cables that service the local area.
Dedicated website for updates
A website has been set up to update local residents, businesses, councillors and MPs regarding these important works, as the Council is fully aware how important they are to the whole community. Please find below a link to the bespoke Soot Hill web page – regular progress updates will be uploaded here:

Back in November 2022 the Parish Council agreed to public suggestion of an online petition for CWaC to increase the speed of how much progress was being made with Soot Hill. If you would like to support the cause, or just find out more information about the situation from the perspective of the locals who experience the impact of the road closure everyday, then please click the link below. It would be greatly appreciated if you signed the petition to support out cause.
